James Ruiz, EMT-P
Clinical Services Coordinator
James started out in the medical field in 1995 when he obtained his EMT at Austin Community College and began volunteering with Oak Hill Fire Department and working EMS in Bastrop County. In 2000, he began his journey to become a Paramedic. He met his wife Kristy at the emergency room where she worked as an RN and now ER Nursing Director.
In May of 2002, James and Kristy bought their first house together, then got married, and James graduated from Paramedic school. James went on to work for various EMS agencies and emergency rooms. Many people never knew this, but if James had not gone into the medical field, he would have gone to cooking school. He absolutely LOVES to cook. James resides in Dripping Springs with his wife and two kids, Riley and son Cooper. James and his family also have three dogs, Flash, Charlie, and Phoebe. In his spare time, James can be found watching the Texas Longhorns (or any sports/events that his beautiful kids are into), camping and fishing.
